From humble beginnings as a farmer's son in the village of Chas, Ambegaon to making his mark in all over Maharashtra the trajectory he has travelled thus far is only for the brave and inspired. Despite an MBA degree under his belt and stability in a well-paying job, Shankar Barve was not content to let things be. His dream, instead, was to set up a Production cum Media House with a difference.

Thus, SB Production was set up in 2010 as a private limited company to make Films and Ads of assorted hues that communicate with society and various stakeholders on many levels. So be it Short Films or Documentaries, Ads or Corporate Videos, Feature Films, Brand Building exercises, Social Media Videos, Educational Films, Ad Films. SB Production Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as a one-stop platform for all genres related to the medium of Film. What make his work stand out are not just his commitment and passion, but also his creative Vision and Passion. Thinking out of the box and delivering quality cinema on time, within budget are SB's calling cards. Shankar Barve has won much acclaim through his work and has also been named as a Government Film Producer by the State Government of Maharashtra. Even as his story is mentioned in the book 'Real Winners', he continues to take SB Production from strength to strength with the support of his more than 80-member strong team, his clients and various stakeholders.
